Adding HEPA filter to a DE 1230 M AFC does not change the machine to an H-class DE. Filtration level is improved but H-class machines need to have a sensor by the HEPA filter measuring the airflow and pressure to ensure that the filter is working properly.

All air goes through the HEPA filter regardless of the AFC function, this means that it can be used with AFC or PC models.

How to attach the HEPA filer to a 1230 extractor
